A conversation with high school students

As part of her research on the impact of post-2015 public policies on the school experiences of Muslim students and their families, Lamia Mellal is currently conducting a participatory research with high school students in Marseille. Indeed, by proposing podcast creation workshops, the goal of this research is to create a space that allows students to express themselves freely, to share and to reflect collectively on their daily experience of school.

In order to prepare the work with families, a workshop was held on January 20th in the premises of the association "Les Minots de Saint-Charles" bringing together researchers and local associations that work with parents of students.The goal was to reflect on the most appropriate way to organize the work with families and to think about the creation of a space that would allow them to collectively question their relationship with the school institution in the post-2015 context.
